Carolyn Rodriguez

Carolyn Rodriguez, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Rodriguez is currently an Assistant Professor at Columbia University-New York State Psychiatric Institute. Her research focuses on developing novel treatments for patients suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and understanding the neurobiology of the glutamate neurotransmitter system. She was recently awarded a K23 grant to identify novel drug targets for rapid-reduction of OCD symptoms. During her residency, Dr. Rodriguez was honored with the Barbara Anne Liskin Prize from Columbia University for her leadership in clinical, research, teaching, and community service. She has also organized two science workshops with interactive experiments for underprivileged minority elementary students.
